New crochet style! It has been almost a year and a half since I tried a new Freetress crochet braids style. It wasn't by accident that I decided to do this but more so because I had a vision in mind - I wanted bangs!
I did a little research on doing and making bangs with crochet braids and perused YouTube along with Pinterest. I also really wanted some big soft curls reminiscent of the 80s and settled on trying out the Freetress Presto Curl with bangs. First time for this hair and style!
How I did it:
1. Instead of the usual cornrow pattern, do a beehive cornrow pattern for the whole head
2. Crochet the hair on the tracks per usual
3. Unless you are an expert hair cutter, get it shaped by a friend or your stylist! It really makes all the difference when trying to get even bangs to match the layered look of your hair
So far I am loving it! (I feel like I end up liking every crochet braids style I do) It is much better than Gogo Curl crochet braids because the curls are not as stiff or tight and I went swimming in the ocean with it the other day and had no issues.

I do notice with a lot of Freetress synthetic hair that the volume decreases a lot so you have to fluff it out every so often. I have yet to take a paddle brush to it to see how it holds up but will post on that experience next time.
