When I first heard about this comb I became skeptical. Like most curly hair products you wonder which products are made for 2c-3b type hair and products made for anything between 3c-4a. I myself have a mix of 3c, 4a and 4b. I just recently transitioned from using pin brushes (which literally tore out my hair and shredded my ends) to a regular wide tooth comb. I normally used it during my detangling sessions. Always one to be lazy and try to maybe find a comb that had a one up on the traditional wide tooth, I found the Ouidad double detangler. Although more expensive than the everyday comb or brush you can find in your around-the-corner beauty supply, I decided to make an investment and buy it given that I was always willing to spend more money if it could help with the laziness and frustration surrounded with combing out my hair. I was not disappointed by the purchase. It was heavier than most combs but it got through the tangled sectioned parts in maybe half the time than it normally took with regular combs AND it didn't take out as much of my hair. yay! I did realize though that I had to make sure I dug the comb in at the roots otherwise I would be left with matted roots and combed out ends.
