I love this product precisely because of its dual shine and moisturizing components. Luckily, unlike some of Carol's Daughter's other products, this particular product does not contain phenoxyethanol. I usually use the Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey when I'm doing some sort of styling to my hair involving, a braid-out or twist-out of some sort. An example is the foam road curlers twist-out style I occasionally do.
The product gives great great shine without appearing oily and keeps hair feeling moisturized after two to three days. Its good to put some on your ends that look a little frayed and thirsty. I know my mother also uses it to brush back her hair into a bun, giving the hair that wavy glistening look without the hard gel looking effect when ladies brush back their hair into a ponytail, etc.
The product comes in a solid but is not thick but rather easy to delve your fingers into. Just rubbing a dab of the product between your fingers softens the product to the point it becomes an oil.
Be careful to not use a generous amount of the product which sometimes can lead to the product seeping through satin scarves onto pillow cases, leaving a shine on the back of head rests in cars, etc.
